"In this issue of Lowrider Bicycle, we have gathered all of the items that you need to put on a cool paint job, the way that cool guys and girls like it. Sergeant Slam and I went shopping at Nordstrom's and bought a few things that I like. Isn't he sweet? In my purse, we have cling wrap plastic, white paper plate, yellow disposable gloves and ultra-flat primer spray. Sergeant Slam went to Home Depot for a few more items."
"Sargy also ordered the use of Auto Air Colors, a base color of silver aluminum which comes in three different bases: 4101 aluminum (fine), 4102 aluminum (medium) and 4103 aluminum (coarse). Guess what, guys, they have other pearl paints, too, such as a metallic texture that'll make good bases, but for this project David used 4102 aluminum (medium) and ultra flat black painted on the Scion body first. "After the paint is dry and you're happy with the pattern you can choose your top color. For this David used 4602 candy sunset shot through a Iwata HPC airbrush. The good thing about these paints is that you can pour them right from the bottle and into the airbrush funnel. They are water-based so you can mix and match the colors to make your own colors. Now, while I'm down here, I think I'll do a couple hundred push-ups."
